Greetings from Jinan, Friends from Murcia, Spain, deeply experiencing Chinese New Year
2024-02-21
During the Spring Festival, the streets and alleys of cities across China are filled with an intense festive atmosphere. Every household will put up new spring couplets and hang up auspicious 'Fu' characters on both sides of their doors to welcome the new year and express their eager anticipation for a better life.
On February 10th, the Jinan International Communication Center and the Spanish Grupo Ingenia-Mundo Puzzlero jointly held a Chinese New Year cultural event in Murcia, Spain. Together with local residents, they pasted spring couplets and hung up 'Fu' characters to experience the traditional Chinese New Year customs, feel the unique atmosphere of Chinese New Year, create a festive and harmonious atmosphere, and fully demonstrate the charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
Murcia, located in southeastern Spain, is the seventh-largest city in Spain and an important agricultural region. It is renowned for its abundant production of fruits such as lemons, oranges, and high-quality agricultural products, as well as its significant industrial status and long-standing cultural heritage. Over 2000 years ago, the ancient Silk Road tightly connected China with Spain. Today, this deep friendship forged by silk continues to flourish and deepen between Murcia and Jinan.
In this Chinese New Year cultural event, the Jinan International Communication Center specially presented a carefully selected batch of Spring Festival 'Fu' characters, couplets, Jinan photos, and dragon year window flowers to the Spanish Grupo Ingenia-Mundo Puzzlero team. These gifts, rich in cultural connotations, not only showcased the unique charm of Jinan to Spanish friends and spread the culture of Shandong Province and Chinese culture but also conveyed the Chinese people’s friendly sentiments and good wishes to the people of Spain.
Through this event, local residents of Murcia were able to gain a deeper understanding and experience of Jinan's traditional culture, enhancing mutual understanding and friendship. Looking ahead, we look forward to seeing Jinan and Murcia continuously take new steps in cultural exchange and jointly write a new chapter of friendly exchanges between the two countries.
